A very important period of my life where I had the honor to be part of the cultural bridge between Scandinavia and the sukuma tribe in Tanzania. Connecting with many different medicine men and medicine women, in a sacred land where the food is still prepared over three stones and a fire, where the knowledge and wisdom is passed on from the initiated only through words, not books.

For 15 years I was in the organizing group of a Cultural Camp, Utamaduni, in Denmark, a weekly camp with 800 participants, with invited guests from Africa. I was a member of the Utamaduni Dancetroup, performing and teaching at this yearly camp and I was always connecting with the shamans and other holistic practitioners.

The most precious mentality I learned in this beautiful community was: TOGETHER WE ARE STRONG - WE RISE TOGETHER

During these years I started a dance group, MANONGU - Sukumadance in Sweden, and founded Manongu cultural organization. 2014 we received a Culture Award from my county “For the bridges they build through dance and music. They create joy, warmth and community between people regardless of background.” I was arranging and leading workshops and camps at my home and organizing cultural trips to Tanzania. Twice we received Scholarships from the Cultural Committee in the region of Vastra Gotaland. To support all the voluntary work I started up a company, working professionally with making creative projects at schools; teaching dance, singing and drumming as well as making performances with around 10 000 children. These events were funded by The Ministry of Culture in Sweden.

The humbleness I feel to all my family and friends are indescribable. You have, through love, always supported me by mirroring me, making it possible to expand into a better version of me. I carry so many people in my heart - I am truly rich. Without you I would never have been who I am.
